Temperature monitoring system for explosion-hazardous areas convinces jury

From 01 to 04 April 2008, AMPER, the international trade fair for electro-technology and electronics, opened its doors for the 16th time in Prague/Czech Republic. 700 exhibitors from 23 countries presented their product novelties to more than 50,000 visitors.

A traditionally very important event at the trade fair is the contest for the innovation award "Zlatý Amper". This year, 22 exhibits applied for the award and competed for the coveted title. An expert jury in cooperation with the Czech Technical University (CVUT) in Prague judged the participating products. The results were published on the second day of the trade fair in the course of a solemn awards ceremony in the Bethlehem chapel.

RedGuard, the temperature monitoring system for explosion-hazardous areas persuaded the jury under the guidance of Prof. Ing. Jirí Tuma, DrSc. and was awarded the innovation prize "Zlatý Amper". What particularly convinced the jury was the fact that RedGuard can continuously measure and locate the temperature over long distances and can even monitor it in explosion-hazardous areas.
